In November 2023, the Sciana Network welcomed Elhadj As Sy, chair of the Kofi Annan Foundation, to deliver the Sciana Lecture. He imparted some lessons on leadership he picked up from his career and experiences.
Elhadj is also a governor for the Wellcome Trust and co-chair of the WHO/World Bank Global Pandemic Preparedness Monitoring Board. He previously served as the secretary general of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies - IFRC. He spoke in front of Fellows from Cohorts 4 and 5.
