Dunja Nicca is the research group leader and head of Advanced Practices Nurses (APN) at the Epidemiology, Biostatistics and Prevention Institute (EBPI) of the University of Zurich. Prior she was assistant professor at the University of Basel and has ten years of clinical experience as APN in primary and secondary care settings. Her research activities focus on individual and system readiness for the implementation of chronic and/or infectious disease prevention. This includes current projects to improve prevention of Hepatitis C, HIV or Gonorrhea, to scale-up implementation of chronic disease prevention in primary care or to improve influenza prevention in hospital settings. Dunja holds a Ph.D. and a Master of Nursing Science from the University of Basel and a Bachelor of Public Health from the University of Applied Sciences and Arts, Northwestern Switzerland. She is a scientific board member of the Swiss HIV Cohort Study and the Swiss Association for Nursing Science.
