Claire Lemer combines working as a paediatric consultant with community and hospital based transformation work. She is currently deputy director and leads on clinical transformation for the Children and Young Peoples' Health Partnership, an innovative imitative re-designing how every day healthcare is delivered for the younger generation in Southwark and Lambeth. Claire is also associate national clinical director for children, young people and transition to adulthood, NHS England, where her focus is the primary secondary interface. Claire spent two and a half years at the Department of Health and World Health Organisation where she worked in public health, quality improvement and developing clinical leadership programmes. During 2004 and 2005, she was a Harkness Fellow in Health Policy, in Boston, USA, where she researched the effects of communication in paediatric medication safety. She has co-authored two books on medical management. Claire has an M.B.A., M.P.H. and M.D. in patient safety.
