Oliver Gröne is vice chairman of the Board at OptiMedis AG, a management company that designs, implements and evaluates accountable care systems in order to improve health, care experience, and lower costs. At OptiMedis, he oversees research and development of population health management programs. He is also CEO of Gesundheit für Billstedt Horn, an accountable care system in a deprived borough of Hamburg, Germany. Previously he was associate professor in health services research at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and manager of the Quality of Health Systems Programme at the World Health Organization. He holds an M.Sc. and Ph.D. in public health and an M.A. in medical sociology and organizational sciences. Oliver publishes widely on quality of care topics (H-index: 32) and is deputy editor of the International Journal for Quality in Health Care.
