Oliver Gröne

Oliver Groene is vice chairman of the Board at OptiMedis AG, a management company that designs, implements and evaluates accountable care systems in order to improve health, care experience, and lower costs. At OptiMedis, he oversees the programmes for research, health data analytics and development of population health management programs. Previous positions include senior lecturer in health services research at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and manager of the Quality of Health Systems Programme at the World Health Organization Regional Office for Europe. He is also Senior Research Fellow at the Australian Centre of Health Innovation at Macquarie University, Sydney. He holds an MSc and PhD in public health and an M.A. in medical sociology and organizational sciences. He publishes widely on quality of care topics (H-Index: 36) and served as deputy editor for the International Journal for Quality in Health Care from 2015-2019.
