Thomas Zeltner, Deputy Chair, University Council of the Medical University of Vienna, former secretary of health of Switzerland and director-general of the Swiss National Health Authority (1991-2009), has a long history as an innovative leader in public health. He is the deputy chair of the University Council of the Medical University of Vienna.
During the first meeting of the 2019 Sciana cohort, and in the third meeting of the 2018 Sciana cohort, Zeltner delivered the inaugural Sciana Lecture. In this lecture, he discusses leadership in health care and wellbeing and the key health challenges for the future.
