leadership vision

My vision for healthcare leadership is to empower people who are willing to take responsibility and have the courage to lead, develop and shape their organisations to improve the healthcare system in which they operate. As leaders, we need to recognise the unique and complex nature of individual patient care, which is a blend of science, art, compassion and business, while at the same time recognising that the healthcare system, when viewed in its entirety, is a reflection of the social, political and economic characteristics of a country. A successful leader pursues two main goals. Firstly, they achieve tangible and measurable results with their teams, with specific goals and tasks as the benchmark for success. Secondly, they contribute to the overall picture by seeing the big picture and motivating and organizing their teams to fulfill their tasks effectively.

my story

Sciana offers me a very valuable exchange and knowledge platform, including access to internationally recognised experts from a wide range of health functions and countries.

Sciana has been the birthplace of many new initiatives that my Sciana Fellow Marcel Napierala and I have launched in Switzerland in recent years, such as Compassana, the open digital ecosystem.
