about me

Lorena Dini is a senior health systems researcher and designer at the Charité - Universitätsmedizin Berlin. She joined the Department of General Practice in 2008, where she is currently leading the Working Group Health Systems and Health Policy Research (HSPR). Her current research work focuses on the translational design of health systems projects that integrate local and global public health perspectives and anchor the health systems approach to primary health care research aimed at informing health policy. Since 2019, she is an elected member of the Advisory Board of the European Forum for Primary Health Care and elected vice-president of the Section Health Services Research of the European Public Health Association. She is a member of the Core Team of the Coalition of Partners (WHO office Europe) and of Health Systems Global. She was trained as a medical doctor in Uruguay and is licensed in Spain. Further, she obtained a Diploma of Health Policy and Management from Karolinska Institute, a diploma in public health and tropical medicine, a certificate as health care manager and an M.Sc. in international health and a Ph.D. from the Charité - Universitätsmedizin Berlin.
