Marc Augustin (Cohort 4) recently published a scientific opinion piece on how face-to-face and digital psychotherapy address the needs of people with disabilities differently. The article was published in the Journal of Mental Health Research in Intellectual Disabilities.
Judith Safford (Cohort 3) delivered the first keynote at the first Swiss PPIE (Patient and Public Involvement and Engagement) Symposium, which took place last month.
In her lecture, she presented different forms of patients’ experiential knowledge and explained how patients’ experiences can be transformed into essential knowledge to co-build better care and identify crucial research questions.

Marek Rydzewski (Cohort 6) was recently voted in the top five of the "CIO of the Year" competition in the large company category. This was based on his work as CDO for the digital transformation of BARMER, which you can more learn about here.
Marek was also a guest on Inga Bergen's "Visionäre der Gesundheit" (Visionaries of Health) podcast. They discuss the digital transformation of BARMER as well as the future of healthcare.
Shera Chok (Cohort 2) was recently interviewed by the Süddeutsche Zeitung Dossier to provide her thoughts on digitisation in England and Germany, as well as the work of the Shuri Network.
Shera is the co-founder of the Shuri Network, which recently celebrated its fifth anniversary. Last month, several members from the Network were invited by Letitia Wright, who portrays "Shuri" in Marvel's Black Panther films, to view new statues of the character at an exclusive event at Madame Tussaud's in London.
Shera said, "Our members were thrilled to meet our namesake and inspiration for the Network. Shuri uses science and technology to save lives and to ensure the success of her community and country. She also challenges stereotypes and is a superb role model for our members."

The Bundesverband Managed Care (BMC) has published its latest volume on value-based care, featuring submissions from authors from various care areas.
Several of these authors are familiar to the Sciana Network. This list includes Bogi Eliasen (Cohort 4 co-chair), Oliver Gröne (Cohort 2), Lutz Hager (Cohort 2), and Bernadette Klapper.
Lutz and Bernadette have also co-edited the volume alongside Franz Knieps, Bettina Lutz, Johanna Nüsken, Ursula Hahn, and Benedikt Simon.
Lutz, who serves as CEO of the BMC, said, "In einem value-orientiertem Gesundheitssystem steht das gemeinsame Ziel im Zentrum, bessere Gesundheitsergebnisse über den gesamten Behandlungspfad zu erreichen.
