about me

Dunja Nicca is scientific collaborator and group leader at the Epidemiology, Biostatistics and Prevention Institute at the University of Zurich. She gained her PhD in Nursing Science from the University of Basel in 2009 and holds a Master's degree in Nursing Science.

Her research considers global mobility and health with a focus on the improvement of individual- and system readiness for the implementation of effective health interventions to prevent or treat communicable and non- communicable diseases in humans and animals.

Her clinical experience as an advanced practice nurse (APN) covers care for patients living with HIV and/or Hepatitis C and set-up of CoVID- related public health vaccination centers and mobile services.

Dunja Nicca is a member of the scientific board of the Swiss HIV Cohort Study and member of the Swiss Association for Nursing Science.
