about me

Saskia Schenker is the executive director of the Arbeitgeberverband Basel, an employer organization of greater Basel area. Until March 2020, Saskia was the head of the Health Policy Division and deputy director of curafutura, which represents the interests of the largest health insurance companies of Switzerland. In her role, she leads the employers organization with focus on labour market and social insruance and is responsible for public affairs including regulatory issues on national and cantonal level. Since July 2015 she is a member of the cantonal parliament of Baselland for the liberal party (FDP). She holds a Master of Political Science with a minor in political economy and Iiternational law. In 2018 she completed an international dual degree M.B.A. in finance from the University of Berne (CH) and University of Rochester (USA).
