Johanna Ludwig is a medical doctor and specialist in Orthopaedics and Trauma Surgery with a strong focus on digital health, system transformation, and medical education. She currently serves as Head of the Strategy Unit for Care Delivery at gematik, Germany’s national agency for digital health infrastructure, where she works on strengthening the value and impact of digital solutions for the healthcare system. Previously, Johanna held leadership roles in business transformation at BG prevent GmbH and served as Vice Chair of the medical expert panel for the Bertelsmann Foundation’s Trusted Health project.
She co-founded Luujuu, a gamification startup for healthcare professionals, and advises digital health companies on product development and medical strategy. Johanna holds an MSc in Surgical Science and Practice from the University of Oxford and has authored multiple peer-reviewed publications as well as a forthcoming book on competency-based medical training.
