leadership vision

For me, leadership means opening up spaces where encounters are possible, where learning opportunities arise, and where even those who don't shout the loudest are heard. The core competencies of my leadership are deep listening, building bridges, and empowering.

about me

Mirjam Lämmle (- Weber) is the CEO of the Swiss Cancer League. The national nonprofit organisation is committed to cancer prevention and cancer research and offers national information, support and counselling services for people affected by cancer and their environment. Mirjam began her professional journey as a social worker. After years of experience in psychosocial counselling in various fields, she continued her career at the Canton of Bern where she was responsible for care planning in the field of health promotion and addiction and later in the Federal Office of Public Health, where she managed the national strategy of addiction. Issues of equal opportunity and access, the promotion of health literacy as well as building bridges between the social and health care sectors are particularly close concerns. She holds master degrees in Social Work and in Leadership and Management and an international EMBA from the Universities Bern and Rochester (USA).
