Shaun’s career is a game of two halves. Trained as a systems engineer, he spent the first part of his career in service improvement and transformation roles across manufacturing and consultancy (Airbus, PA Consulting). In 2006, he transferred into the NHS (Guy’s & St Thomas’, NHS London, King’s Health Partners) to apply these skills to health and healthcare in London, where he has held a range of senior roles in population health.
In 2025, he joined the Ellison Institute of Technology, established to develop solutions to some of humanity’s most enduring challenges, including health. He holds a PhD (urban health) from Imperial College London, where he is also a Fellow at the Institute of Global Health Innovation (IGHI), and he supports the Mayor of London on urban health policy.
