John Thomson is a National Associate Clinical Director for NHS Scotland's Centre for Sustainable Delivery of Health and Social Care with a portfolio that includes diagnostics, data and the Accelerated National Innovation Adoption (ANIA) pathway. His clinical practice is as a Consultant Gastroenterologist in Aberdeen. He has a research background in bioinformatics having undertaken his PhD between Aberdeen University and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He is a Scottish Quality and Safety Fellow and for more than 10 years has been a digital health leader in Scotland across numerous local, regional and national programs.
