Werner Widmer is an economist and has been working as CEO of Stiftung Diakoniewerk Neumünster in Zollikerberg/Zürich, Switzerland, since 2002. This foundation runs a hospital and two senior centres. He is a lecturer at the University of St. Gallen. He has some publications about the Swiss health care system and is a regular speaker on topics such as hospital strategy, hospital management, and health care system improvement. He earned a Ph.D. in political science from the University of Basel.
